August 14, 2022 Beginner Stained Glass Workshop

  This workshop teaches you how to use make a pattern, use it to cut out your glass, how to prep your glass, how to tape your glass to prepare it to solder. Your shown how to use the stain glass tools and equipment to make a piece to hang in your window. All materials are included in the fee and refreshments are served. August 14, 2021 Blacksmith Workshops

  Beginner class from 12:30-3:30pm You will learn about blacksmith tools and forges. How to heat metal and hammer it into useful items. All materials are included for the class in the workshop fee of $60.00. Reserve your spot at EventBrite.

  Advanced class from 3:30-6:30pm you will learn to make more advanced project(s) with heavier metals. You will do your project from start to finish. Cost for the Workshop is $60 per person, per class and we ask participants to wear close toed shoes. Refreshments are served.  August 21, 2022 Cherokee Double Walled Basket Workshop

  Participants will learn how to make a double-walled Cherokee Basket using reed. All materials are included in the workshop fee and refreshments are served. Cost for the workshop is $30. Reserve your spot at EventBrite.

 

September 18, 2021 Advanced Stain Glass Class

  The advanced stain glass class teaches you how to make a larger stained-glass piece. In this class you will learn to make a lighthouse that can be hung in your window. All materials are included in the fee. Cost for the workshop is $50 and refreshments are served. Make a reservation at EventBrite.

September 18, 2021 Blacksmith Workshops

Cost for each Workshop is $60 per person which includes all materials needed for the project. We ask participants to wear close toed shoes. Refreshments are served.

Beginner class from 12:30-3:30pm. You will learn about blacksmith tools and forges. You will heat metal in a forge and work it into useful items with hammer and anvil. All materials are included in the workshop fee. Reserve your spot at EventBrite.

September 25,2022                  Jack O’Gourd or Skeleton Head Workshop 2-5pm

Learn how to turn a gourd into a Jack O‘Lantern and/or a skeleton head you can hang with a light. You’ll be using saws, Dremel tools, stains and possibly a wood burner to create your very own Jack O’ Lantern Gourd or Skeleton Head. Cost $25.00 includes all materials and refreshments are served.

October 1 & 2, 2022                 National Alpaca Days at Shady Lane Alpaca Farm – Free Event 12-6pm

  You can see and hand feed the alpacas, see the miniature donkey named Matilda, Giant Flemish Rabbits and Pygmy Miniature Goats. Enjoy the Various tents with demonstrators showing how to knit, crochet, weave and use a sock knitting machine. There will be Ham & bean soup in the big kettle and cornbread, Amish baked goods and everyone gets an alpaca cookie. Music, Blacksmith will be demonstrating and you and do a project with him. Pony Cart rides, and pony saddle rides.1890’s shows happening plus, our Medical Guru will perform his medicine show. Pig races will happen twice each day. Lots of pumpkins, gourds and fall decorations available for sale and the Alpaca Farm Store will be open for business. 

October 9, 2021 Blacksmith Workshops

October 23, 2022    Victorian Garland Making Workshop 2-5 pm

  No one enjoyed the holidays more than the Victorians and they excelled in decorating. Learn to make Victorian Garland just in time for the holidays. Use natural items such as pinecones, dried fruit and flowers, ribbon and whatever else you care to expertly weave into your, artificial pine garland. Your garland when finished will be around, 9 feet +/- in length. You can decide when you are putting it together if you want it to be permanent or have the ability to change out the items for a different color scheme. All materials are included in the fee. Cost for the class is $30 per person and refreshments are served. (Note: if you want to add lights there will be an additional fee of $5)

October 30, 2022 Sourdough Bread Workshop

  Learn how to make sourdough, how to make two kinds of bread using the sourdough starter. Plus, you learn how to make amazing cinnamon rolls with the sourdough. Cost for the class is $25 per person, includes all materials and plenty to eat. Plus, you’ll leave with your own container of sourdough starter. 

November 20, 2022  Advanced Stain Glass Nativity Workshop 2-5pm

  Learn how to make a stain glass piece you can hang with Joseph, Mary and Baby Jesus. You will be cutting glass, grinding it, foiling and soldering your piece together. Cost for the class is $45 per person and all materials are included in the fee. Refreshments are served.

December 4, 2022  Fused Glass Workshop 2-5 pm

Learn how to cut glass to make into necklaces, bracelets, earrings, bookmarks, wine stops, etc. You’ll learn about glass ecoefficiency, how to cut, clean and layer glass to get it ready for the kiln to be fused. You’ll make up to five pieces. Cost $55.00 includes all materials.
